A Little Craftiness

With a little Scotchguard, this could be a great idea for bicycle storage. Just cover any old plastic crate with fabric and, voilà, you have a reliable and attractive means of transporting things on your bike. I think this would be great on the rear rack of a bicycle--you could just secure the bottom of the crate to the rack with zip ties or bungee cord. Also, if you don't have Scotchguard handy and your cover gets soiled, you can always just slip it off and wash it.

What a lovely idea! Actually, colorful vinyl tablecloths may work well too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wonderful ideas!!!

I do want to be a little cautionary with the use of scotch guard. Make sure there are no perfluorooctanyl sulphonates (PFOS) or perfluorooctanic acid (PFOA)'cause they're toxic!

Or like 'mtblawgirl' suggests, use some vinyl table cloths(maybe some colorful recycled ones you pick up at a thrift store or garage sales.)

At any rate you've really inspired me. Thanks!

Wow, I didn't know anything about the dangers of Scotchguard. Thanks! I think mtblawgirl has a really good idea with the vinyl tablecloths.
