How Do I Love Thee, Bicycle? Let Me Count The Ways.

Forget about the fickle fashion industry. Bicycles have yet another champion in the literary set. Nikki Giovanni, one of my favorite poets, has written a new book of love poems (about all sorts of love) called Bicycles: Love Poems. If you browse through the pages below, you'll see why she entitled a book of love poems, "Bicycles."

I wanted permission to use your photo for an article I may write about Black women riding bicycles for leisure and transportation--not sports activity.

How does someone contact you if your email address is not rendered on your blog?

I admire your movement. I had a teal blue bike just like yours (the same model) I got mine from the Salvation Army. I also had a pink one I bought from a good friend that left for Argentina. And then I started travelling. I don't have either of them anymore.

I biked around DC but I too am from Georgia.

You can use my picture, Andrea.

I think my e-mail address should now show up on my Blogger profile.
