The Sweet Georgia Brown Grand Giveaway

I'm certainly not Oprah, but I figure I can host a giveaway too. And while companies compete to have Oprah giveaway their products, I've been pleasantly surprised by how many makers of cool bike-related items have agreed to participate in my little giveaway just because they appreciate what I'm doing at Sweet Georgia Brown. It's been quite the lovefest over the past few weeks. I hope that mutual admiration continues and even more crafty, chic folks decide to get in on this giveaway.

So let's get started with Contest #1
One Good Feast Deserves Another

CSN Stores is an online retailer made up of over 200 shopping sites that sell just about everything you need for your home--they even have a site to help you find the perfect suitacase for when you want to leave home! With the holidays upon us, I thought a $75 gift certificate from CSN Stores was a great way to begin my giveaway. That's a small kitchen appliance, or some nice serveware, or enough "good" towels to allow your family to use them even when you don't have company! Only those who will be celebrating Thanksgiving as a national holiday next Thursday and their maple-loving neighbors to the North are eligible for this contest. (Don't fret my international friends. Way more of my contests are global rather than not).

Now all you have to do to win this contest is to tell me what you plan on having for your special holiday meal(s). Bonus points for including actual recipes because sharing is awesome and blessed are those who actually do the cooking during the holidays! The contest will be closed on Tuesday, November 23* and the winner announced the next day. I'll also have prize claim details on Wednesday. Good luck everyone!

*That means you have until 11:59 PM EST Tuesday!

One of the things that we have every Thanksgiving and I make double batches for is Pumpkin Crisp. Both my family and my husbands family loves it and we have instead of pumpkin pie.

I found it when just searching for recipes about 10 yrs ago and it is absolutely delicious.

I'm making tons of things, but my favorite is pumpkin custard with coconut. Yum!

I know this isn't necessarily a Thanksgiving dish, but it's one of my favorite, ridiculously unhealthy and easy desserts.
Coconut Poke Cake from tried and true Allrecipes.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner! I made 6 loaves of pumpkin bread today for that very reason. I love pumpkin bread during the holidays.
Thanks... quarabr(AT)gmail(DOT)com

We're making a stuffing with chestnuts and cranberries. It's one of my favorites. I can't wait to EAT! :-) Thanks for the giveaway.

totally making brussells sprouts with mushrooms & shallots. I don't know what the rest of the family is making. Most likely the norm for a holiday.
